Saturday mornig I started to drive back to the East Coast of Vancouver Island. I stopped at Kennedy Lake and on Sproat lake jumped into sproat lake, the water was cold but it was very refreshing. After that I visited the Firefighter Bomber Base on the end of Sproat Lake. I camped at Little Qualicum Falls Prov. Park. Unfortunately the Campground was already full and I had to camp on the parking lot for the park. It actualy didn't matter because the washrooms were close and there was water and also the falls were closer to the parking lot then to the campground. After sleeping in this morning I drove down to Little Qualicum Beach where I went for a stroll along the beach. In the afternoone I drove to Courtenay. Here I will stay in this beautiful hostel directly at the river til tomorrow.

June 23rd to June 27 I spent in Tofino it was great. On Tuesday I tried ocean kayaking and we paddled to Maeres Island and then back it was a wonderful kayak experience in calm water. Wednesday I rented a mountainbike and cycled from beach to beach all the way to Radar Hill. The view of it was awsome. Thursday it was foggy and it raind a little bit but I booked surfing for this day. So I went to Cox Bay in the afternoone and tried to ride the first waves in my life. It was difficult to stand up on the board but I had a lot of fun in the 11°C cold water of the Pacific Ocean. Of course we were wearing wetsuits. Unfortunately the surfinglesson was over before I really could show up. Friday the sun came out again and it got pretty warm for the Westcoast. I left Tofino and drove 40km south to Uculet which is on the other side of the peninsula. After walking on some coastal trails, I spent my night on a campground close to the water.
